Problem with nuclear energy

The usage of nuclear power splits society into two sides. One side agrees with this idea but another refuses it.

People who aceept it refer to that nuclear power is more effective than others and it's unlimited. In their opinion nuclear power is the safest energy option and new technology solves the "nuclear waste" problems.

The fact is that atomic power has higher cost than other powers like fossil fuels or renewables resources. The cost consists of uranium mining and processing, its transport and eliminating nuclear waste and reactors.

From my point of view nuclear energy will never be safer because there are 438 nuclear reactors in the world and disaster of one of them can change the world. Novadays there exists technology that can make it safer but there still is the human factor for example Chernobyl.

Not only nuclear reactor disaster can change environment but also atomic waste is bad for nature. The reason is that it is highly-radioactive and people haven't got any technology to destroy it.

So we can use better alternatives like solar-energy or energy from water.
